Aldine, Texas is home to nearly 14,000 Houstonians. Although a small piece of Houston in Harris County, Aldine continues to grow with more and more businesses and families moving to the area. Aldine Independent School District has been ranked among high performing school districts since 1996. Just for kids recognized twenty schools in the Aldine Independent School District as high performing in various academic categories and the Aldine Independent School District Board of Education was chosen as the Outstanding School Board of Texas by TASA. Aldine Independent School District also participates in mentoring programs for at-risk high school students to encourage self-esteem, safety, relationship building and reduce discipline referrals.
