What Air Texas Balloon Aventures says: Air Texas Balloon Adventures is proud to offer hot air ballooning in Houston, providing rides in and around the Gulf Coast, year-round with weather permitting. Mr. Doug Watson, chief pilot and owner, has over 25 years of aeronautical experience with hundreds of hours of safe "Pilot In Command" time flying many different types of aircrafts. Our support crew is composed of highly experienced individuals, trained in hot air balloon operations, eager to make flying enjoyable and answer any questions. Using Cameron and Balloon Works equipment, both manufactured in the U.S., Air Texas Balloon Adventures inspects all balloon equipment on a regular schedule as per Federal Aviation Administration maintenance rules and regulations. The balloon baskets are capable of holding up to five passengers. However, those participants who are pregnant or have health concerns should refrain from hot air balloon rides. Gulf Coast sunrise balloon tours are an adventurer’s paradise. Our flights are approximately one hour long (+/- for winds). All non-flyers are welcome to come chase the balloons and to join in for the celebration following the flight. However, we have limited room in our chase vehicle, so you may need to follow in your own vehicle. Be sure to bring along a camera and plenty of film to capture this unique and breathtaking hot air balloon experience. After the balloon adventure, crew members stand by to toast with a traditional champagne celebration and welcome flyers into the Aeronaut Society for their accomplishment.
