CRITIQUE:

Alamo Drafthouse takes dinner and a movie to a whole new experience!  Literally, you eat dinner while you watch a movie, and not on a big screen, but in an actual movie theatre.  Alamo Drafthouse takes over old mall movie theatres and remodels them with everyother row of seats becoming tables.  The concept is genius and children will LOVE this restaurant. 

The menu is usually themed after the current shows and is pretty much fast food; pizza, nachos, hot dog, sandwiches, etc.  Pricing is not over-inflated, as that of typical movie theatres, but you do have to pay for movie tickets and food seperately.  The staff is very attentive and accomodating.  Of course you can order food freely before the movie starts, but when the movie begins, you simply write your order down and attach it to the table so the waiter can see it.  The waiter then takes the order and brings the food back to you discreetly so as to not disturb the other movie-goers.  This process might sound a bit distracting, but really goes unknoticed.

While Alamo Drafthouse is not all over Houston yet, it is worth a trip out to one of their locations for a family fun night!
