COMMENTARY:

This years Chevron Houston Marathon Kids Fun Run was a blast.  Hosted by Texas Children's Hospital at the George R. Brown Convention Center, approximately 5,000 children, ages 5 to 15, participated, everyone walking away a winner.  Family Fun Houston sponsored a booth along with The Houston Comets, Babies R Us, Aerodrome Ice Skating Complex and a number of other family oriented businesses.  There were plenty of free gifts, games and entertainment after the fun run and great information for parents about healthy living and fun things for kids in Houston.  Overall, the Chevron Houston Kid's Fun Run was a great time and well worth the $10 registration fee. 

Special Note: 
Texas Children's Hospital did have free parking a couple block away from the George R Brown Convention Center marked with Texas Children's Hospital signs.  Otherwise, parking prices were $5.00 - $10.00.
