COMMENTARY:
Circus Gatti came to the Lone Star Convention & Expo Center located in Conroe, Texas. The show was not very crowded so families had their pick of good seats, but there really was not a bad seat in the arena as all stunts were visible from just about anywhere. The Circus had dancers, animal tricks, high-wire stunts and women who seemed to fly. Nothing you have not seen before at the circus and lacking some of the extra thrills of the more dangerous stunts. However, if you are seven or younger, this is a cute Circus. The most exciting part was during intermission where kids could ride on an elephant or pony. Again, nothing too great unless you have never ridden a pony or elephant before. The rides were very short and not worth $6, but when you are little, it is always exciting to get up close to any animal.
Circus Gatti has more of the "old-time" circus feel than some of the more publicized Circus' in Houston. If the prices were right, this would an event worth planning to attend. However, the price of admission is outrageous ($20 per adult and $10 per child) for a two hour small town circus show. On top of admission, the snacks and toys were too expensive and the extra fee to ride the elephant or pony was ridiculous. Not worth the money, so don't waste your time. However, should Circus Gatti reduce just their admission prices, I would recommend attending as something different to do on a Saturday afternoon.
