DESCRIPTION:
This New York Times best-seller is another great addition to the “Duck” series Doreen Cronin has created with Click Clack Moo and Giggle Giggle Quack.
As always, Duck is up to some pretty crazy stuff and driving Farmer Brown a little nuts as well. In his endless quest to find the perfect job working as little as possible, Duck finds himself in the political race for Farmer, then Govenor and finally for President. Feeling pretty lucky, he wins all elections, but finds each job is just as hard or harder than the previous.
Duck ultimately discovers that no matter what job he has, he is going to have to do some work. Eventually Duck retires back to the farm where he decides to write his autobiography and continue to drive Farmer Brown crazy.
Cronin seems to carefully choose topics that adults find interesting and turn them into children’s stories. The “Duck” books, as my daughter likes to call them, are exceptional for younger children and are funny enough for adults to enjoy as well.
