Texas Renaissance Festival
Posted in Family Events by Mary Altemus
October 9, 2008  05:01pm

The Texas Renaissance Festival is in town starting October 11, 2008 (weekends only) through November 30, 2008.  We have had some interesting experiences in the past and are not totally sure this is 100% family friendly...or should I say kid friendly.  I would like to hear from some other parents on what they think and what kids can get out of going.

We are new to houston. I was wondering what does Houston have to offer during the Thanksgiving and Christmas season. Like everyone else, we are on a pretty strick budget, but still want to enjoy getting out with the family.

This Looks AWESOME!!

"Please join us at “Lights in the Heights®” in a performance of Phil Kline’s “Unsilent Night,” an outdoor ambient music piece for any number of boom boxes. Help us to serenade holiday revelers as we walk through the lights, each playing a separate CD that is a “voice” in the piece. Bring your own boom box to the corner of Highland and Florence, and we will supply the CD. Performance begins promptly at 7 p.m., CDs will be available at 6:00pm"
