CRITIQUE:
Golden Corral has stirred up some controversy with discontinueing their kids eat free nights and special children's pricing. Most parents don't want to pay full price, at least for small children, as they obviously do not eat as much as adults or teens, but never the less, Golden Corral does not seem to enthusiastic about bringing the discount back.
Price set aside, it is more of a fun restaurant to eat at than it is high quality. Children especially love the idea of trying a little bit of everything and getting to pick what to try. While the selection is quite good, the food itself is kind of bland in that there is nothing there you couldn't make at home just as good or better. The dessert buffet is also fun, but again, nothing that will keep you coming back for more. We have visited several times and if there were any special recipes or selections, it was not obvious.
We recommend Golden Corral when nothing else sounds good and you just don't feel like cooking.
