By the age of 5, kids are expected to know their numbers from 1-20 and playing is the best way to learn ANYTHING!!! Below are some interesting games to help kids learn their numbers before entering Kindergarten. DIRECTIONS Balloon Pop This game is perfect for kids to help recognize numbers. Using a sharpie marker, write numbers 1 - 20 on 20 different balloons. Have kids find numbers either in order or have them pull a balloon and name the number on the balloon. Kids can put the balloons in number order or can juggle balloons in the air as they add each number. When finished, kids can pop balloons again while naming the number of the balloon they are popping.
