COMMENTARY:
We attended the March 25, 2007 Northshore Concert in the Park and left somewhat dissappointed, but had an overall good time. The music was uninteresting and quite boring, but the atmosphere at Northshore Park more than makes up for the lack of musical entertainment. There are several playsystems appropriate for toddlers to pre-teens as well as several picnic areas for grilling burgers or hot dogs.
The lake is right next to the park and there are plenty of ducks for everyone to feed, so don't forget the bread. There is not a lot of shaded areas if the weather is poor, but there is plenty of field space available for a large crowd. Pets are allowed, but are not policed and if you have a pet owner that does clean up after their pet, you might have to move to a different area.
Because the concert is FREE, it is not a bad idea to head out to Northshore Park Sundays around 6:00pm just to get out of the house.
