Synopsis:
Kung Fu Panda, as you may imagine, has plenty of martial arts action. However, parents don't have to worry too much as even the most intense fights are done in a kid friendly, cartoon like fashion. The movie's villain, Tai Lung, does have some scary scenes that may scare children younger than three, but the overall message is you can achieve greatness with the gifts and talents you have, and not by becoming something or someone else.
The story begins with Po, a martial arts lover, destined by his father to take over the family restaurant. Although he loves food, he does not feel he quite fits the role his life has trapped him in. When Shifu announces it is time to choose the Dragon Warrior, the whole town shows up to watch, but Po is caught on the outside, desperately wanting to join the crowd and watch. When his firework powered chair propels him right in the middle of all the action, Po finds his dreams of becoming a Kung Fu master are about to come true. Some of the best lessons follow, including; never give up, use your special talents to achieve great things and you don't have to have a special secret weapon to succeed.
Kung Fu Panda is a must see movie for anyone with children. Both boys and girls will identify with he characters and laugh out loud at both the funny moments and the scary fights.
