The scientific facts hold pretty close to the basic information on each subject, but present it in an entertaining and interesting way for children.
Along with the main story, the book includes many fun facts and tidbits that go along with what Ms. Frizzle and her class are experiencing. For example, in the Dinosaurs book, there are facts about fossils, different species as well as some popular scientific beliefs about the age of the Earth and evolution. At the end of each story, there is a page dedicated to helping parents and children figure out what is factual in the book and what is fiction.
